While de-cluttering my house, I have come across the following places where you can donate, recycle and dispose of different items. I hope this list is helpful:
1. MAKNA (National Cancer Council) Donation Boxes – Boxes seen in Damansara Heights and other places
Accepts donation for clothes, linen, handbags, belts and soft toys.
The donated items are sold and the proceeds go to 3 charities – MAKNA, Malaysian Association for the Blind and Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor and Federal Territory.

2. Jumble Station, Jaya One – http://jumblestation1.blogspot.my/
Accepts clothes, toys, books, digital items, do visit the website for more information. Items are sold to raise funds for single parents.
I donated many unused /new clothing here.

3. Recycle with Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia – http://eng.tzuchi.my/index.php/env-protection/recycle-point
This entity has got to be one of the most organised recycling efforts I have seen. They have monthly recycling camps and also permanent centres with operating hours where you can drop off electronics, clothes, paper and anything that should and can be recycled.
Click on the website above to locate your nearest centre.
4. For pick-ups and donation of furniture, you can refer to my separate posting here: Donate Furniture, Free Pick Up
